Uniting Together Against Bullying

We join people across the nation in celebrating Unity Day. A time to come together and take a stand against bullying while promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Our amazing Transportation Department showed their support by proudly wearing orange to spread the message that we are stronger when we stand united. Thank you to our drivers and staff for helping lead the way, not just on the road, but in creating a caring and connected community.

The Estrella Vista 2nd and 6th graders recently teamed up for reading buddies! The rain could not stop these Hawks from enjoying great stories and the beautiful weather together.

Service Learning Lab

The Arizona Bureau of Agriculture came to visit our Tres Rios K–2 Pumas. They listened to the story, Pumpkin Jack, and created a pumpkin wheel about the life cycle of a pumpkin in our Service Learning Lab.

Effective leaders are always prepared for emergency situations. Our County Place Mustangs participated in bus evacuations and learned how to respond in case of an emergency on the bus. We are proud of our leaders.

Nicaraguan Culture at Freeman Fine Arts

Ms. Loaisiga shared a special part of her heritage with our sixth graders: the vibrant culture of Nicaragua. Students rotated through exciting stations where they painted their faces with traditional designs, learned about foods from Nicaragua, created arts and crafts inspired by Nicaraguan traditions, and explored the country’s geography and landmarks.

Coyote Corner at Collier

The roadrunners were hard at work on Friday delivering items from the Coyote Corner. Every day, students earn points that turn into dollars, giving them the opportunity to practice real life financial literacy.

As a financial literacy school, we focus on teaching students how to earn, save, and spend responsibly. Each week, a different grade level places orders at the Coyote Corner. Behind the scenes, students take on the role of employees filling orders, organizing products, and making sure everything is correct before it’s sent out. Then, our roadrunners step in to deliver the items into classrooms.
